The series is about four modern successful women living in New York City, but they are single. Bradshaw sees things through her eyes, and she writes them down. She has three best friends: Samantha Jones, an owner of a P.R. company, and a “tiger” on the bed. Charlotte York, an owner of an art gallery, is always naive and delightful in bed. Miranda Hobbes, a lawyer, is firm and wild in bed. They are best friends and have different viewpoints on seeking “Mr. Right” in their lives. The series features four women with four different characteristics who are all looking for true love.

But that is not the whole point of the series. The name of the show has talked about everything. It is about sex, a very sensitive yet fun and necessary topic. Each woman in this series has a different point of view on their love life and sex, which you can find yourself inside. Then, you will ask yourself a question about what kind of relationship you are looking for. Throughout the series, you will witness each character dealing with many kinds of sex on bed with their one-night-stand lovers. All four women, Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte, have experienced sex differently with different men and women.

My favorite character is Samantha Jones, played by Kim Cattrall. Samantha loves to talk about sex in front of her friends and people. She is independent, confident, and successful. She is good at flirting and a professor of sex. With her, sex is life, passion, and perhaps something she cannot miss. Samantha Jones always looks for the best men with the best sex ever. I remember Samantha once said this. “Fuck me badly once, shame on you. Fuck me badly twice, shame on me.” That has shown she is really picky in choosing her sex partner. The person lucky to serve her needs has to satisfy her, give her the best time ever, and be different from other men. It proved that no one is the best man in her eyes. And that is what I like about Samantha Jones.

The show has created many controversies since the day it premiered, and until right now, they are still talking about it. The show has touched on a sensitive issue about sex performance and mentioned it freely without fearing it might hurt some people watching it. But then I thought, Sex and the City is not for children. It is for the audience who is 17 years old and up. At the age of 17 or 18, they must know about sex education because it is necessary to teach them about having sex, how to protect themselves, and the feeling of doing it. This age range is wide, rebellious, and acting without considering and making mistakes. Other ages must know how today’s sex differs from their generation’s sex. We must have an open mind to look freely into this topic and not consider it a toxic issue. I mean, all of us have to have sex sooner or later. It’s our nature. We cannot escape it. Once we have it for the first time, we will want to have more because inside us, we desire sex, and we enjoy it. We are human, after all. Let’s do whatever we want if we think it is okay and not against the law. We only live once, so why think about what others talk about us or what others think about this sensitive topic then?
