It took me almost a month to go to the movie theater to watch Avatar 2 because I wanted to hear what my friends said after they watched it. And all of them said the movie is the best movie of 2022. Avatar 2 succeeded them. Despite the story, what impressed them the most were the visual effect and cinematography. I was curious. So I asked my crush to watch the movie with me, and after finishing it, my crush said the movie was beyond my expectation. I agreed. James Cameron always succeeded with his audience. His imagination is way ahead of time, to be honest. He brings into his movies the best that satisfies the audience. Avatar: The Way of Water deserves every single praise and recognition.

In this post, I will review this movie and tell you what I like about Avatar: The Way of Water.

The Cast.

Besides the cast from the first part, the young generation cast highlights Avatar 2. Jamie Flatters as Neteyam, Britain Dalton as Lo'ak, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss as Tuk, Jack Champion as Spider, Bailey Bass as Tsireya, Filip Geijo as Aonung, Duana Evan Jr. as Rotxo, and many more. I think they are the elements for the next franchises of the Avatar universe because as their characters are like their parents, who are warriors, they promise to bring out the best of themselves to fight back every "sky people" who threaten their tribes and people. I expect a lot from them. Among the young actors, Britain Dalton impressed me the most. He brought the role of Lo'ak that every family must have. A son whose parents consider him a black sheep but are the proudest son they have ever had. Dalton touched my feeling because somehow I could relate to a friend of mind. The cast from the first part is superb, as usual. Sam Worthington as Jake, Zoe Saldana as Neytiri, Stephen Lang as Quaritch, and Sigourney Weaver as Kiri. There is Kate Winslet as Ronal, Cliff Curtis as Tonowari, Joel David Moore as Norm, CCH Pounder Mo'at, and Edie Falcon as General Ardmore. But the most impressive role must be Kiri, played by Sigourney Weaver. I could not believe in my eyes that she nailed Kiri in the best way as possible. Kiri is a 14-year-old girl, and Weaver could portray a teenager’s innocence and cute.

Special Visual Effects and Cinematography.

Every movie made by James Cameron can guarantee both art and box office. Like The Terminator, Titanic, and Avatar. They are all box office hit and highly critically acclaimed masterpieces. He always looks for a new way to make movies, and Avatar: The Way of Water is no exception. The visual effect of this movie will give you a sense that you go into a different world where you can experience many wide-eye-opened natures and all the best spots you never see in real life. Cameron must have a special love for wildlife and Mother Nature. Every scene in Avatar 2 contains something beautiful that satisfies every audience. Since the movie is about water, what's under the water is so amazing. It makes me want to jump into the water immediately. All the imaginary sea creatures and plants create an underwater world that surprises us. It shows me that Cameron cares a lot about cinematography and production design. Even though they are products of computers, they look so real that we feel like it happens right in front of our eyes. I wondered if Avatar 2 is like this, what will other Avatar movies be like? The storyline will be the same. Jake's family fights with the "sky people". But the visual effects and cinematography will always be different again. It will continue to change under the hands of James Cameron.

Conclusion.

I am not a big fan of sci-fi. But I have a special love for Avatar by James Cameron because I want to see the world that he creates. After I watched the movie, I joked that this movie is a combination of Moana, Finding Nemo, Titanic, and Call Of Duty. Avatar: The Way of Water is one of the best cinematic experiences ever. But besides satisfying every audience with the cinematography and other elements, the movie also wants to tell us about protecting the environment and nature. Humans always want to exploit every single beauty of nature to turn into profits. They can never know that their actions can kill Mother Nature. Soon, things will die. It is great if, through this movie, everyone can raise awareness of protecting the environment before it is too late. Highly Recommend!
