Today, it marks 22 years anniversary of September 11th. Every year to this day, we are remembering a tragedy that shocked not only America but the whole world. It was just a normal day like other days—a Tuesday morning, on September 11th, 2001, with a clear sky and peacefully. But nobody would expect that something horrible could happen. At 8:45, an American Airlines Boeing 767 hit the World Trade Center North Tower. Everyone was shocked and did not know what just happened. It did not stop there. 18 minutes after the plane hit, a second Boeing 767 United Airlines Flight 175 hit the South Tower. It took away the lives of 3000 people. The pain, the loss, the desperation, the burden that each family member of the victims had to suffer and perhaps will never go away. Every firefighter had sacrificed their life and tried to save the lives of every remaining alive victim inside the rubble of two towers collapsed. Former President George W Bush said in the documentary “9/11: Inside the President’s War Room”, produced by AppleTV+. “The first plane was an accident. The second one was an attack. And the third one was a declaration of war.” The third one crashed into a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. A declaration of war had begun after the tragic event of 9/11. The United States of America had gone into the war in the Middle East for over 20 years with many losses of soldiers who fought and sacrificed for the flag of the U.S. We always remember them for what they did and their purposes. 22 years have passed, and of course, America always knows how to overcome every challenge, pain, and failure to return to the top and be the first. It had changed history forever. Right now, where it happened, two cold, gray metal frames are in the pools and memorializing the victims’ names to honor them. The water was falling deep. When I was standing there, I felt like it had a powerful meaning. Water falling to the bottom is like every victim in that tragedy had come with the motherland, and she opened her arms to welcome them. Sending all the love and thoughts to each family who had a family member killed on September 11th, 2001, to each firefighter’s family who had family members sacrificed to save others, to each soldier’s family who had family died in the battle, and to all the victims. May your soul rest in peace. We never forget. Nowadays, the World Trade Center has only one tower near the two old towers. It is so powerful. We will never forget.
