Happy July 4th, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful independence day with your family. Our family celebrated July 4th from noon till midnight. We had a BBQ party and got wasted. During the party, we played one of the iconic movies I have watched so many times. Each time I watch, I have for myself different feelings and emotions. This movie is a good choice for you today because it can bring the family together, and everyone cannot get their eyes off the screen. It is Titanic.

I got the idea in my head and wrote it down in this post for our blog. Titanic is such a great and classic movie, not because of the love story of Jack and Rose, which everyone has heard and admired, or the tragedy of Titanic. I want to talk about the value of this movie and other elements that make Titanic such a phenomenon. From some sources, I have read that Titanic was not expected to be a box-office hit. It would have been a bomb. 20th Century Fox had to share the budget with Paramount to ensure they did not fail alone. And the rest is history. The actual cost of the Titanic ship in the movie is much more expensive than the real one.

As you’ve watched in the movie, the ship looked so luxurious, so beautiful, so elegant because the ship was only for the rich. With the poor, well, like Rose said. “It was the ship of dreams to everyone else. It was a slave ship, taking me back to America in chains.” It was true. All the low-class people stayed down, and a large amount of them died on that fateful night. Based on a real tragedy, Titanic had a simple plot when focusing on the love story of Jack and Rose. Like the ship, it did not have a good ending, it was not a complete love, it still had some regret and was unfinished. Titanic could also refer to the way that high-class people lived. Thinking of it this way, everyone loves money. Wealthy guests on the ship wore expensive clothes, brought luggage, had money full in their pockets, and said noble things. In the end, what could we see in them? They wanted to save themselves when the boat started to sink. Money with them was no longer important, they could not buy a lifeboat, they could not use the money to order other people—nothing they could do. In daily life, many people, because of money, have turned blindly. Agree that we need money but don’t turn it into greed or be blindfolded by it. After we die, we cannot bring money with us.

One thing that I like the most about this movie is the visual effect. Titanic is the first pioneer movie to use green font to shoot. Throughout time, Titanic is still one of the greatest movies ever. I love this movie a lot, and I think you can agree with me. Highly recommend! Once again, happy July 4th!
