On April 12, U.S Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin was the first senior US official to comment on the leak of military documents. According to Austin, the Pentagon discovered these documents were posted on February 28 and March 1, but it is not certain if any other documents had spread online before. National security agencies and the Department of Justice are stepping up their investigation of the leak and assessing the damage to national security and relationships with allies and other partner countries. That includes Ukraine.

The FBI and the DOJ have opened an investigation into the leak of documents at the request of the US Department of Defense. Investigators are urgently determining the source of the leak.

DOJ officials said they were in contact with Defense Department officials to determine who had access to the documents, where the leak was likely to come from and the intelligence system capabilities. America was attacked or not. According to US officials, the investigation is in the early stages and investigators do not rule out the possibility that pro-Russian elements were behind the leak.

Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal reported that the US has begun to assess the consequences of the leak of classified documents due to concerns about the implications for global security. According to the paper, US officials do not rule out the possibility that these documents may have been manipulated to mislead investigators as to their origin or to disseminate false information that could harm public interests. US security.

This is considered one of the most serious security breaches in the US since WikiLeaks in 2013.

On April 13, Attorney General Merrick Garland said the FBI arrested Jack Teixeira, a 21-year-old National Guard, in the connection with an investigation into the alleged deletion, retention and unauthorized transmission of classified national defense information.

According to the Washington Post, Teixeira shared all the leaked documents on Discord to "a small circle of online friends."

But it has shown one thing clearly that the security of the U.S is having a big hole and not yet to be fixed. It seems like anyone, who is a good hacker, can get all the secret from the Pentagon. If they don't fix the system any sooner, the U.S. can face a great danger. The real question is "How the hell can a 21-year-old guy be able to get access to all the secret documents?"

Teixeira apparently posted the secret documents because she wanted to show herself to her team members. Initially, the suspect was only supposed to type the information he had on the group, but then began to come up with real documents that the suspect apparently took out of the protected area and photographed.

Or he is just a criminal. What do you think?
