Have you ever watch any movie about “cat and mouse”? I am not talking about Tom and Jerry. It is a phrase to describe catching something by any price. The Departed is a perfect example for that phrase. The story of two people with two different lives. One is a good cop under the cover of a criminal. One is a criminal spy for a criminal empire under the cover of a good cop. They are both sent to each other’s cave to lure the baits out of the cave. Directed by Martin Scorsese, this movie is a remake of 2002 Hong Kong film “Infernal Affair”.

Scorsese had drawn a perfect picture of corrupt cops in police department, who worked for gangsters; cops who are willing to sacrifice for justice and rights; and cat is chasing for mouse to expose each other’s real identity. If you watch the movie, you will see the symbol of rat in some scenes. Rat is everywhere, root of every disease, destroys everything around by its teeth. They live in the dark and steal things. Once rat is inside one place, it will reproduce and create an army. In real life, there are people who are just like those rats. There are imposters to harm and stab behind our back which if we don’t find out, we will be doomed. Highly recommend
