Recently, everyone must have watched the video of five black Memphis police killed a black fellow, Tyre Nichols, in a traffic stop. Nichols was accused of reckless driving. Instead of talking to him or have done something different, five police beat Nichols to death after he tried to break away. He was only 27 years old who came back to his mother's house after taking photo of sunset.

Soon after his death, Americans had shown their angers toward the brutality of police. Once again, what happened to George Floyd in 2020 had returned. But this time, the people to blame is black people. I have been thinking a lot about this topic and it has shown me one thing. The color of a person skin doesn't do anything with racism or inequality. It means that once there is violence inside an individual, only a little trigger, they will be provoked. When police killed George Floyd in 2020, not all of the police force were white. Remember that. Or it doesn't need to be about police brutality. In a recent mass shooting in Monterey, California, the killer was a Vietnamese. What we can see here is that anyone can be a killer. When the motive is enough, they will commit a crime. With the death of Nichols, it is a wakening to everyone. Especially, to the black community. They had to see their fellows killing another fellow, who they might know had no harm intention.
As the video was published everywhere, it showed what happened to Nichols and what the police had done. It is obviously a crime and they will hold the accountability. It is a good thing nowadays when only a phone, everyone can record anything and publish everywhere. They don't mind about the consent or what happened in that video. The purpose of the video is to tell the truth. There was a saying. A hundred mouths is never enough to an eye.
I support the action of posting that video because people need to know the truth so that they can have an opinion of themselves and judge in their way. It reminds me of the Pentagon Papers, which exposed the dirty truth that the U.S. government tried to hide Americans on the Vietnam War. At that time, there was no cell phone like today. They often read the newspapers to update the news. The stories can be twisted in so many different ways. But the truth is only one. Thanks to the video of killing Tyre Nichols, we can know who is telling the truth and who isn't. Let the whole world see the brutality of a part of police force, which made them bad in some people's eyes.
But here is the thing. I don't accept the way people look at the police after one of them killing a civilian. We must understand not all cops are the same. There are many police out there trying to protect people with all of their respect and the oath that they took. I believe police is a part of our lives. Only a few bad seeds made the whole police force like some kinds of monster. I can see many outrage people used crucial words to describe police. One of them is calling them "pig." I hate that. I still see there is kindness inside each police because they are protecting us. They are risking their lives every day to make sure we have a safe and peaceful life. When we are in trouble, they will be the first responder. Of course, there will be people not agreeing with me and they may say "till it happen to you." Yes, I welcome those comments. I agree that it may happen to me that I can be killed by the police because to be honest, I am an Asian. But I won't still hate police. My mom taught me to forgive. Even if I died due to police brutality, I will not blame the police for that. I will keep this thought in my mind. Not all the police are the same. So please, don't gather them together and judge them. There is something you should know. No one is above the laws and no one can escape their own karma.
I don't have anything to say in the end other than sending my deepest condolence to the family of Tyre Nichols. May he rest in peace.
