“Dear Evan Hansen”, oh my God, I love this movie so much, and there is no word to describe my feeling when I watched this movie. It is funny and so emotional. To be honest, I cried a little bit.

The movie is about a boy named Evan Hansen who is suffering from social anxiety. He is always afraid of being around everyone. Evan wrote a letter to himself as an assignment from his therapist. One day, he wrote about a girl named Zoe Murphy with whom he has a crush. The letter is found out by Connor Murphy, who is Zoe’s brother. Now, Connor is just like Evan. He doesn’t have any friends, and people think he is weird. Connor confronted Evan about the letter, but Evan cannot say anything. On the next day, Connor is dead by suicide. Connor’s parents found the letter in his pocket and were mistaken that Connor had written it to Evan. They strongly believe Connor and Evan are friends, but in fact, they are not. But because of the Murphys’ misery, Evan had to fake everything and act as if they were friends. And just like that, Evan gets close to the Murphys. Connor’s name became more and more popular and they began to raise awareness about suicide, depression, and social anxiety.
This is a powerful movie about those issues. It is not too difficult to watch nor does it show graphic scenes of suicide. It is a musical with songs that lift up the moods of anyone who watches it. It is about family, love, and the understanding of people around a person who is suffering from depression. Dear Evan Hanse is a movie that needs more attention from people because the message this movie brings to people is about mistakes and regrets.
Just by a word that seems very normal to us but it can hurt so many sensitive people. They can take it seriously and one by one, it creates a negative thought about their lives. Then, when it happens, we only feel regret, and guilt, and “only if” will stay inside our head So if you are suffering like Evan Hansen, don’t hesitate to ask for help. Talk to someone you trust the most and they will find a way to help you. Dead is not or never the only way to deal with problems in life. Stay strong, guys. Highly recommend!
