There is another mass shooting happened today in Nashville, Tennessee, and once again, the victims were students and teachers. The gunman killed 6 people at a school in the US state of Tennessee, before being killed by police. The victims were identified as Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs and William Kinney, whom were children, and 61-year-old Cynthia Peak, 60-year-old Katherine Koonce and 61-year-old Mike Hill, whom were adults. Covenant School, founded in 2001, is a private preschool and elementary school, affiliated with the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Nashville. The school's website says the number of students here is usually around 200.

According to Nashville police, the shooting took place at around 10:27 a.m. local time. Authorities said the shooter was female and was armed with at least two assault rifles and a pistol. This man died after a gunfight with the police.

The suspect's motive for the crime is currently being investigated by Nashville police.

Gun violence is increasingly becoming a serious problem in the United States. Before that, within just 3 days from January 21-24, 3 shootings occurred in 2 states of California and Iowa, killing dozens of people.

Previously, on May 24, 2022, a bloody shooting also took place at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde City, Texas. Assassin Salvador Ramos, 18, used an AR-15 semi-automatic assault rifle to attack this elementary school, causing the deaths of 19 students and 2 teachers.

The Texas shootings shocked the entire American society. Many senior officials, including US President Joe Biden, have called on Congress to quickly tighten gun control laws, which are considered extremely lax here.

It is outrage when seeing innocent people die again because of a gun. When I woke up this morning, I read an article from the Washington Post about AR-15 and strangely, the shooting happened hours later. Is it coincident? I don't think so. It is something familiar to every American because any day can be the last day of their love one. We have to live in fear like this. It is so sad. I always ask myself a question if there is a gun tragedy occurs. How many more lives does it take to change the gun law? Even though I knew the answer already (which is never enough), I still hope that one day the gun law will be changed and there would be no more innocent people die. Prayers and condolences may be too boring to everyone who had victims of guns. Well, instead of sending praying and condolences, they can take actions to change the gun law which makes harder to access to a weapon. How hard is it?

I want to share my deepest condolence to the families of 6 victims. May they rest in peace.
